Munnar Hill Station

Munnar hill station is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kerala sprawling with tea plantations, pristine valleys, mountains and cool air have long been a favorite with both Indian honeymooners and foreign tourists visiting Kerala. Hill station Munnar situated on the Western Ghats has lakes, reservoirs, forests and tea estates. Some of the highest tea estate in Kerala can be seen in Munnar, as the hills surrounding this scenic town are carpeted with tea bushes, spice plantations and greenery.

Munnar hill station is called the Nature-Loverís Paradise is situated at an altitude of 1265 m above sea level and is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathani & Kundala. Place has lot of opportunities for nature walks, trekking and bird watching tours in Munnar. Munnar hill station attracts many adventure travelers, who are enamored by the area's stunning topography, which is ideal for paragliding, trekking and rock climbing. This beautiful hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India.

There is also one exotic flora called Neelakurinji found in the forests and grasslands of Munnar. This flower which bathes the hills in blue every 12th year.
