Kappad Beach

Kappad Beach located 16 km from main town of Kozhikhode is one of the most charming beaches of Kerala, also popular for its historic significance. This is the historic beach where Vasco Da Gama landed on the May 27, 1498 with 170 men in three vessels. One of the foremost attractions of Kerala is its exotic beaches. This rock studded Kappad beach is locally known as Kappakadavu. An intriguing feature of this beach is a sprawling rock that protrudes into the sea and has a temple on it.
