Chembra Peak

Chembra Peak located near Meppad and 14 km west of Kalpetta at height of about 2100 m above sea level is the highest peak in Wayanad and is ideal place for mountain climbing and trekking in Kerala. Climbing this peak is a challenging and would take a full day. For those adventure seekers, temporary camps are set up on the top of the peak. District Tourism Promotion Council provides guides and trekking equipments on hire charges to the tourists. Chembra Peak is part of the Wayanad hill ranges in Western Ghats, adjoining the Nilgiri Hills in Tamilnadu and Vellarimala in Kozhikode district in Kerala. When you reach on the top of the Chembra Peak, you will be captivated by scenic beauty of Wayanad, which is visible from the top of Chembra.
