Sree Thirumandhamkunnu Bhagavathy Temple

Angadipuram Bhagavathy Temple located in Malappuram district of Kerala. Angadipuram temple dedicated to Goddess Durga, this is an important pilgrim centre in Malappuram. Angadipuram Thirumandhamkunnu Bhagavathy/Bhadrakali temple, standing on a 60-ft high hillock has an imposing appearance, especially when viewed from the main road (Palghat-Calicut highway). The idol of this temple is almost identical with that at Kodungallur, except that the Angadipuram idol is taller. Due to this, the Angadipuram Thirumandhamkunnu Bhagavathy is considered the elder sister of Kodungallur Bhagavathy. The annual Pooram festival celebrated in March /April attracts large numbers of devotees. The Temple is known for its special ceremonies, which involve all the communities of the region, starting from the Valluvanad Rajas right up to the tribal population.
